Chris Watt
Out of the Box was created by Chris Watt who is our full-time Children's Worker. Chris works with schools and churches accross the North of Scotland.
Chris has gained a reputation of excellence within the local primary schools and across the wider community for the energy and enthusiasm he brings to the projects he has undertaken and the various regular events he has been involved in. He has a natural ability to capture the imagination and get alongside children both in small and large group settings.
Chris writes: I will be 33 in October and have lived in Inverness with my lovely wife Elaine for the past seven years. I really enjoy living in the Highlands.
Music and Photography are two of my favourite things. In terms of Music, anything with a good drum beat and great guitar gets my vote. I have been taking photographs for a few years now and have a genuine passion for capturing that natural moment with my camera so that it may be treasured for years to come.
The project has now been running for over a year and it has been totally amazing. We have made some good connections with schools across the North of Scotland and hope to build on that over the next few years. HOlidays Clubs, puppet training events, one-off puppet shows, a puppet musical, assemblies, workshops...are all to look forward to this year. Bring it on. Through-out this year God has been confirming to me that this is where He wants me to be. I love my work.
